Spring Break

The kids had spring break last week. We had a fun week and hung out with friends. I tried to keep things on the cheaper side this year and was proud of myself for actually being able to do it.
On Monday we mostly had play dates with friends. The kids played at the Chapin's in the morning and then in the afternoon we met one of Christopher's friend from last year at the park. It was a nice day playing with friends.
Tuesday we went swimming Jacob and the Finlaysons at my mom's house.  The kids swam for almost 4 hours. I was exhausted by the end of the day. Wednesday we were busy running errands.  Christopher had an appointment with the cardiologist to make sure his heart is healthy to go on ADHD medication.  After that I dropped him off at Kids Park where Drew and Cissa already were so I could get groceries done. Cory and I have struggled over the past 3 years with Christopher's behavior and whether or not we should try medication.  We have finally decided that the time is right to give it a try.

Christopher getting an EKG. Perfect heart!

On Thursday we made tie dye shirts and went to the dollar theaters to watch a movie. I forgot how much I hated the theaters and struggled sitting through the movie. The kids did great!
By Friday I was pooped. I took the kids to go play at the Play Factory at the Desert Ridge, then we had lunch with Cory and they played at their splash pad. It was nice to keep them busy and out of the  home for most of the day.

Clarissa showing off her tie dye creation. So proud of it!!

First Trimester of 2015

We've been super busy this year. I registered the kids for karate and ballet lessons. Clarissa has been in heaven doing dance lessons. She has 4 other little girls from preschool that are in ballet with her which makes it funner. The boys give me a hard time doing any sport. They love the first 2 classes and then they nag me not to go for the rest of the semester.
It has helped having Drew's best friend, Jacob, taking classes with him. Christopher is so close to getting his orange belt, he's very excited.

In the beginning of February I got to go with Drew on his very first field trip.  We went to the zoo. Although I hate the zoo, it was a beautiful day and we really had a great time.

 Petting the sting rays.

For Valentines this year Cory and I just took it very low key and had a quiet dinner date at Outback. It is always nice to get away from the kids for a little.

Being pregnant has made me not want to have to throw big parties or make a big deal of holidays so for my birthday this year I kept it simple. I went out to lunch at Cafe Rio with Cynthia,  Rachael,  and Staci earlier in the week. Dana was supposed to join us but nursing school got in the way. Then on my actual birthday I went to the Cheesecake Factory with the Sugden, Finlaysons, and Weavers.  It was a great night and the food and cheesecake was amazing as usual.

Here are a couple of pictures of me during this pregnancy.  I should take time to record how this pregnancy has been but that will have to wait.
